The Breast Cancer Foundation of WA is proud to launch a new initiative called Breast Friends, designed to improve the lives of women with breast cancer in Australia.

The Breast Friends campaign celebrates extraordinary friendships through breast cancer and the value of strong support in helping women in their personal fight with the disease.

The campaign focuses on encouraging women with breast cancer to identify and enlist the support of a Breast Friend to help them through their breast cancer journey. A Breast Friend is a family member, friend of healthcare professional such as one of our nurses, who provides women with breast cancer with the strength and support to make the right personal decisions about managing her condition.

A first of its kind, the Breast Friends campaign is being launched in Australia on March 7 through a unique photographic tribute featuring celebrities and their stories about loved ones who have experienced breast cancer. Shot by internationally renowned photographer Rankin, the portraits are presented in a coffee table book. All proceeds raised through the sale of this book in Western Australia will be used by the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia, to help continue to raise awareness and provide education to women with breast cancer in this state.
